1989 Chateau Petrus magnums to star in December 16-17 sale

A lot consisting of six magnums of 1989 Chateau Petrus will headline the sale of an important single owner wine collection at Sotheby's on December 16-17.

Two of the magnums are presented with their original wooden cases.

The lot carries an estimate of £22,000-32,000 ($33,148-48,216).

Sotheby's comments: "This collection is both classic and exciting, a reflection of a man who was passionate about art and gastronomy, as well as being an oenophile of great distinction. 

"The cellar was assembled over many years with infinite care and knowledge, and stored in perfectly temperature-controlled conditions."
