Rolling Stone Brian Jones’ jacket heading for Bonhams

A 1969 green Ossie Clark jacket that once belonged to Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones is selling at Bonhams.

Brian Jones jacket

Brian Jones was found dead in his swimming pool on July 3, 1969

Jones (1942-1969) can be seen wearing the jacket in photographs from that time.

It’s consigned from the collection of Anna Wohlin, Jones’ then-girlfriend, who lived with him in Sussex and found his body on the night he died.

Wohlin writes in a letter of provenance: “I have treasured these clothes of Brian's for nearly 50 years, they have been a source of comfort when I remember him, the fun we had and how his life ended too soon.”

The jacket is expected to bring £15,000-20,000 in the June 28 auction.

We have this complete set of Rolling Stones autographs for sale.
