A lock of Mozart's hair housed in a gold locket could make ?�12,000 ($22,935) at Sotheby's London.
The lot will cross the block as part of a sale of music and continental and Russian books and manuscripts on May 28.

It was presented by Mozart's widow to a friend and later passed into the hands of English composer Arthur Sommervell (1863-1957).
