1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible stars at Bloomington Gold 2013

A 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is to provide the star lot in a sale dedicated to the Corvette, which will be held by Mecum Auctions in Illinois on June 29.

1967 Chevrolet Corvette
Offered as a pair, the 1967 Corvettes are completely original and unrestored

The model at the Bloomington Gold 2013 auction is a pilot car, meaning it was produced to validate the design of the 1967 example. It remains in original and unrestored condition, finished in classic Rally Red.

It will be accompanied in the lot by another 1967 Corvette, which is fully documented with the original window sticker, dealer invoice, full owner history, service receipts and period photographs.

A 1967 Corvette formerly owned by astronaut Gus Grissom will also put in an appearance. It was last seen at the Scottsdale auctions at the start of the year, where it made $85,800.
