Charming, personal family letter handwritten by Prince Philip.
A double-sided, single-page handwritten letter by Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, sent from HM Yacht Britannia, dated August 7, 1983.
The 5.75” by 8.25” letter to “Caroline” reads: “Thank you, once again for coping with us all and making everything so easy and comfortable…The new decoration of the room is a great success. I can see that you are itching to get your hands on more of the house…It is really quite frightening to see how quickly the children grow. I must say they are a splendid pain! It was a marvellous moment when Charles suddenly realised that I was the person he had been watching driving the carriage!"
The item is in very fine condition and comes with its original mailing envelope (address covered in white-out).
