A wedding year Christmas card from the present King and Queen
Card with printed greeting and photographic family portrait signed by King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla in 2005 as Prince Charles and Camilla Duchess of Cornwall.
Card measures 15 x 40 cm open.
Inscribed to Ian and Veronica by hand, followed by printed greeting (“Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year”) over strong, clear signatures by Charles and Camilla in different pens.
Mounted photograph shows Charles and Camilla on their wedding day earlier in the year (April 2005) with their children: Princes Harry and William and Laura and Tom Parker-Bowles.
This is Charles and Camilla’s first Christmas greeting as a married couple, marking a significant milestone in the King and Queen’s life.
Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981, making her Princess of Wales. Diana died in 1997 a year after her divorce from Charles.
Charles’ romantic relationship with Camilla (who married Andrew Parker-Bowles in 1973) pre-dated his marriage and continued through it. The couple went public with their relationship in a public appearance at the Ritz in 1999.
They were crowned King and Queen Consort on May 6, 2023.
