A collection of 400 Ornellaia wines dating from 1994 to 2006 is to cross the block in a sale at Sotheby's on February 27.

Based in Tuscany, the maker is one of Italy's most in-demand producers.
Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja, CEO of Ornellaia, comments: "The number of bottles we can release from our wine library is very limited indeed, and many are the very last bottles that will ever be released.
"Each bottle of 'Ornellaia Archivio Storico,' starting with vintage 1994, provides the collector with an unparalleled insight into the wines and history of Ornellaia."
