2010 has been an incredible year in the wine auction market, a veritable raging bull full of incredible achievements and amazing world records, and no one has enjoyed the success of the market more than Acker.
Acker has yet to have its last sale of 2010. In fact they are offering three opportunities to buy fine collectible win as Christmas presents (perhaps for yourself) to close out this magnificent year, a sale in each of their affiliated and respective homes: Hong Kong, New York and the Internet.
The company's sixth sale in Hong Kong this year takes place on December 10 and 11 and they will be hoping to cement their place as Hong Kong's top wine auction house.
Aiming to please the Chinese market, many of the lots are from Chateau Lafite, including two of the key lots which are 12 bottle cases of the 1982 and 2000 vintages, each estimated at $20,000-30,000, and strong investments at the price.
An estimated HK$50m (US$6.4m) will trade hands during what is sure to be a festive and exciting weekend.
Acker will then return to New York after the Hong Kong sale for their last auction of the year, December 18th in New York, beginning at 10am. Potentially US$4m will close out our New York year in fine fashion.
Those who can't make it to the live auction, can always bid over the Internet. Watch this space for more news on these sales.
