Six bottles of 2009 Le Pin will be the highlight of a major single owner wine collection auction at Sotheby's Hong Kong.
Le Pin is based in the French commune of Pomerol near Bordeaux |
The vineyard produces some of the world's most valuable wines and the present lot is no exception.
It's expected to make $19,350-25,800.
The rest of the sale is made up of a remarkable range of producers from around the world, from Chateau Latour to Sine Qua Non.
Serena Sutcliffe, honorary chairman of Sotheby's wine, says: "It makes one gasp to see the breadth of choice and winemaking talent contained in this sale - you could call it 'perfect pitch'…
"You cannot amass a collection of this stature overnight - it takes time, patience and access to the best sources."
