A 12 bottle case of 1982 Chateau Latour led a wine auction at Sotheby's Hong Kong on September 3, achieving $22,124.

Chateau Latour is one of France's most celebrated producers

The estate, which stands in the Medoc region to the northwest of Bordeaux, produces some of the most highly prized wines on the market.

The single owner sale featured an extraordinary selection of bottles from around the world.

Serena Sutcliffe, honorary chairman of wine at Sotheby's, explained in the run up to the auction: "The span of wine styles and regions, vintages and formats is extraordinary…
