A dozen bottles of the famous 1982 Chateau Lafite Rothschild came out top lot at Christie's Fine and Rare Wine auction in New York on March 14, bringing an impressive $39,000.
The sought after Bordeaux sold at the very top end of its $30,000-40,000 estimate - testament to its outstanding quality and international reputation.
