1964 Bowmore whisky collection makes $25,500 at Bonhams

A three-bottle collection of Bowmore 1964 whiskies has sold for £15,625 ($25,253) at Bonhams London.

The lot consisted of a Black Bowmore 42 year old, a Gold Bowmore 44 year old and a White Bowmore 43 year old.

Bowmore is among the oldest Scottish distilleries

The distillery was established in 1779 on the isle of Islay in the Inner Hebrides.

Other lots at the October 1 auction included a Macallan fine and rare 53 year old 1949 that made £8,125 ($13,137).
