The watches were first seen in 2007 at the Salon International de la Haute Horological in Geneva, where they soon became the talk of the show. Each is inscribed with a poem in French which relates to the individual mask.
Just four variations were initially released, with a further eight following, bringing the total number to 12. There are 25 examples of each watch, with a total of 300 available worldwide.
