An auction celebrating 175 years of watch making at Patek Philippe will feature a range of exceptionally rare pieces from across the manufacturer's history, including a Reference 2523.
Valued at $1.5m-2.6m, the lot is among the headliners of the November 9 sale at Christie's Geneva.

It features an 18k gold case offset with a blue enamel dial and is one of only 14 extant - of which 11 are made in yellow gold, two in pink gold and the last in white gold.
Another example, one of the rarer pink gold versions, sold for $2.7m at Christie's Geneva in 2010.
Also on offer is a Patek Philippe Reference 130 known as "The Boeing" in reference to its first owner - aviation pioneer William E Boeing.
It dates to 1939 and carries an estimate of $417,643-835,286. This is its first time at auction.

Patek Philippe's legendary Henry Graves Supercomplication, commissioned by banker Henry Graves in 1925, is to auction at Christie's New York on November 14 with a valuation in excess of $16.8m.
