Maurice Lacroix is a comparatively young watch brand, but it has already established itself has one to watch due to a series of innovative developments. Since the beginning of the 1990s, the brand has been concentrating on the development of attractive, surprising additional functions for mechanical watch models.
Building a reputation with retrograde displays as well as chronographs and moon phase indications, the company's great recent breakthrough is the Memoire 1: With the Memory function, which found its initial application in this strictly limited chronograph, Maurice Lacroix has, in the year 2008, officially presented an entirely new Grande Complication.
With a groundbreaking step like that, the company's early watches are only likely increase in value as the company goes from strength to strength. The current piece, which features a diamond bezel made out of Top Wesselton Diamonds, is expected to achieve $8,500.
The auction closes on Thursday September 16. Collectors and investors interested in fine timepieces from exciting new watchmakers should take a look at this piece from Grieb & Benzinger.
