Rare 1981 gold Rolex Oyster to auction in Birmingham

A circa 1981 men's 18k gold Rolex Oyster perpetual day-date bracelet watch is to sell with Fellows in their January 9 auction in Birmingham.

The Rolex Oyster was the world's first fully waterproof wristwatch


The watch has been modified after its original purchase with a customised diamond-set bezel and lugs, along with diamond dot hour markers.

As the movement is not currently operational, the watch will require a service - but is in otherwise good condition.
