This coming Thursday (August 26) will see an impressive range of fine, collectible jewellery and silver come to McTear's.
A number of the 250 lots ready to go under the hammer look interesting, including two sets of earrings, one pair of diamond clusters weighing 3.4cts set in gold, and the other with pear cabochon ruby drops below diamonds and a further oval cabochon ruby, the rubies totalling approximately 42.9ct.
There's even a large diamond-set frog brooch - they are set in the body of the frog totalling approximately 5.99cts, in gold and silver, and green-gem eyes complete the piece which is listed at £2,000.

However, there is a stand-out lot in the form of a diamond solitaire pendant. The round brilliant cut diamond weighs approximately 4.6cts, and is carried on an eighteen karat white gold pendant.
Diamonds have been performing well in the collectibles markets, so if the piece does sell for the reasonable £20,000-25,000 listing it will count as a good investment for any jewellery collector, as well as desirable in its own right. McTear's sale will take place in Glasgow.
