Diamond values on the rise, as White Gold necklace brings $20,400

Waddington's of Ontario, Canada, held its Fine Jewellery auction on Tuesday (June 18), lead by the sale of a 14k White Gold Straightline Bracelet.

Seven inches in length and set with 33 brilliant cut diamonds (approximately 17.00ct total weight), the 2.34g bracelet auctioned with an original estimate of $18,000.

Following enthusiastic bidding in the saleroom, the rare piece of jewellery sold for $20,400 (including buyer's premium).

The above video shows a clip of the bracelet's sale in New York, where it auctioned alongside finely crafted diamond and gemstone jewellery, diamond solitare rings, and important Art Deco.
