Sotheby's June 10 Important Watches & Clocks auction in New York will offer a magnificent line-up of the world's most sought after timepieces, with an A Lange & Sohne tourbillon wristwatch set to highlight the modern section.

The watch has been consigned by an American collector with an estimated value of $100,000-150,000. This is the first time that a platinum version of the watch has been offered for auction.
The 2011 watch, numbered 004/100, boasts a Richard Lange tourbillon "Pour Le Merite".
In April, Sotheby's sold a honey gold version of the watch for $374,359, a 61% increase on its $232,000 high estimate.
