$10k Cartier watch leads diverse online sale

A remarkably varied online auction of vintage gold coins, Rolex watches, gemstones, celebrity & sports memorabilia, fine art, comic books and even African and prehistoric artefacts takes place, this weekend.

Seized Assets Auctioneers is apparently needs to "clear its entire warehouse" in time for March, and promises that all its lots will have very low starting prices and no reserves.

Among the watches and jewellery highlights of the sale is this 18 carat Gold Cartier Women's Automatic Watch, estimated at $7,500-10,000.

With bids starting at $2,500, the sale is an ideal opportunity of keen collectors on the look-out for potential bargains.

According to Seized Assets Auctioneers, all their jewellery lots come with appraisals from licensed gemologists.

Rolex watches, loose rubies, sapphires, tanzanite, amethyst, citrine, moonstones, opals and emeralds will also feature among the jewellery lots.

The internet auction will also feature artworks by the likes of Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, Charles Bragg, Leroy Neiman, Harold Cleworth, Norman Rockwell and Renoir.

In other Cartier news, auction house Patrizzi & Co is winding-up an auction billed as its 'most important Cartier sale in 14 years,' scheduled for March 9.
