Robin Williams' bike collection selling at Paddle8

Paddle8 Auctions is selling a collection of 87 bikes belonging to the late actor Robin Williams.

Proceeds from the sale will go to the Challenged Athletes Foundation and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Master Pista Williams
Robin Williams' Colnago Master Pista has already beaten its estimate

Williams was a passionate cyclist and regularly entered events around the world to raise money for charity.

Among the highlights is a Colnago Master Pista racing bike featuring artwork from graffiti artist Futura 2000.

Bidding on the lot stands at $28,000 ahead of the October 25 close date - well above its $15,000 estimate.

A 1990-1991 Zipp 2001 time trial bike, one of the fastest ever made, is expected to make around $5,000-7,000.

There's even a Z Turbo electric scooter ($800-1,200).

Williams' children commented to the SF Gate: "Though bright, skin-tight spandex still remains one of the more embarrassing outfits to regularly witness your Dad wearing growing up, the sport of biking and the people Dad helped through his love of it, will always hold a special place in the hearts of our family.

"Causes like the Reeve Foundation, championed by his longtime friends Chris and Dana Reeve, and the Challenged Athletes Foundation, in whose triathlons he often biked, were both deeply important to him and we're honored to be able to continue to support them both in Dad's name."
