A collection of club-making tools from the workshop of golf legend Old Tom Morris sold at Bonhams yesterday.
Old Tom Morris was greenkeeper at St Andrews for many years
They realised $1,000 in the sale of the Roberto Family Trust golf collection.
All date to around 1870, when Morris was serving as the greenkeeper and club maker for the St Andrews course - a position he stayed in until his death in 1908.
He is a celebrated figure in golf history and is credited with developing a range of innovations in course design and maintenance.
