Bonhams is to auction a Benetton F1 car driven by Michael Schumacher and Nelson Piquet in the early 90s.
The "B-191-02" car will be the undisputed highlight of the Spa Classic sale at Belgium’s legendary Francorchamps racetrack.
Michael Schumacher and Nelson Piquet each raced this car
The car's main claim to fame is that Piquet raced it to victory in the 1991 Canadian Grand Prix.
Later in the year the young Schumacher moved from Jordan to Benetton and drove B-191-02 in two races in Japan and Australia.
The lot has been a museum piece since the ’91 season but has been extensively renovated to FIA standards in recent years. So you could race it yourself if you wanted to.
It’s expected to make around $805,350-1m in the May 21 sale.
A Ferrari F1-2000 Schumacher drove in the 2000 Monaco Grand Prix sold for $1m in 2012.
We have this signed photograph from fellow racing driver Sebastian Vettel for sale.
The auction will also feature a collection of classic cars from a Swiss castle, including a 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300SL.
