The coats were worn by George Harrison and Ringo Starr in the 1965 film Help!

George's coat sold for £54,000 ($88,997), while Ringo's made £61,000 ($100,534).

The pair wore the iconic coats in numerous scenes in the film - which sees the band pitted against an evil cult - and on the cover of the album of the same name.

Paul Fairweather, auctioneer for Omega, commented prior to the sale that the coats were "the Holy Grail for any Beatles collector.

"The coats are tailored and very stylish and if I had the money to afford them I would wear them without hesitation," he added.
