Glastonbury celebrity wellie auction - date announced soon

Shoes and wellies worn by the stars of 2013's record-breaking Glastonbury festival, including celebrities such as Rita Ora, Professor Green and Mick Jagger, are to feature in an online charity auction later in the year.

The auction, organised by Small Steps - a charitable foundation that strives to deliver shoes and aid to children living in poverty - is offering collectors a rare opportunity to bid on intimate items signed and worn by their favourite musicians.

The Stones' Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, as well as members of The Hives, Jake Bugg, Kate Nash, and Seasick Steve have all donated footwear to the project's celebrity shoe auction.

Organiser Amy Hanson told Paul Fraser Collectibles: "We are quite overwhelmed by the response (in a good way) thanks to the platforms and support from both Glastonbury and Wimbledon."

Amy informed us that, as well as the online auction, a live event is also in the pipeline.

No date has yet been set, but we can confirm that an announcement will be made very soon. You'll read it here.
