Album artwork has always represented an exciting challenge to artists
Titled "Art & vinyl: artists & the record album from Picasso to the present", the show opens with Picasso’s white dove – chosen as the cover to Paul Robeson’s 1949 album Songs of Peace.
Other artwork featured includes Raymond Pettibon’s cover for Sonic Youth’s Goo (1990) and an oil painting by Gerhard Richter on a copy of Glen Gould’s celebrated recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations.
The show runs from January 4 to March 3.
