Optimus Prime Transformer vehicle heading for Scottsdale auction

A pair of vehicles used as Optimus Prime and Bumblebee in the Transformers film series will auction at Barrett-Jackson's Scottsdale sale on January 23-31.

The 1992 Peterbilt 379 stunt truck was used to represent Optimus Prime

They are the 1992 Peterbilt 379 stunt truck and a 1967 Chevrolet Camarro SS used respectively for Optimus Prime and Bumblebee's pre-transformation sequences.

Each of the vehicles will be sold without reserve and is offered as a single lot. No estimates are available, but each of the vehicles is likely to realise a six figure sum.  

The sale will also feature the final car ever produced by hot-rod designer Boyd Coddington.
