Olivia Newton-John is planning to sell the famous leather outfit she wore in Grease to raise money for her own Australian cancer charity.

The outfit is iconic but Newton-John says she couldn't watch herself for years after the movie's release

The actress has kept the black leather trousers locked away after being sewn into them for the 1978 film, having only shown them to Oprah Winfrey when she appeared on the show in 2011.

The outfit that Newton-John wore for the famous scene was made in the 1950s, so the garments were already 25 years old by the time the film was shot. An iconic piece of movie history that has produced many imitations since, they will undoubtedly see strong bids.
