A rare 1960s Batman cape and cowl costume is among a selection of comic book memorabilia in Heritage Auctions’ May 18-20 sale in New York.
The costume features the black and silver cowl variant
It features the silver and black bat symbol on the cowl, which is the rarer of the two varieties issued.
The lot is constructed from plastic and comes presented in its original box.
Bidding stands at $65, but looks set to go much higher.
An exceptional example, with the cape still in its wrapper, made $2,330 at Heritage in 2015.
