Lady Gaga's place at the top of the collecting a-list is once again confirmed by a silk and taffeta outfit that stars alongside Michael Jackson and Marilyn Monroe at AuctionMyStuff.
The September 1 online sale of film and pop memorabilia places Gaga among the greats, with the outfit estimated at $3,000-5,000. A glove worn by Michael Jackson is the lead lot at $5,000-10,000, while a pair of blue jeans worn by Marilyn Monroe will see $800-1,200.
The collection was amassed by Tim Fredman, an English enthusiast who has been collecting for more than 50 years. He began collecting autographs as his grandmother was friends with variety performer Sophie Tucker.
Further highlights of the sale include a red corduroy McAll shirt worn by James Dean, which is valued at $3,000-5,000. A selection of signed LPs from the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Queen David Bowie and more forms a large part of the auction.
"Our last memorabilia auction focused on items from the estate of actress Marlene Dietrich and achieved phenomenal results. In this sale, we are bringing a wider selection of top quality memorabilia from a range of stars from the film, music and sporting world," said founder of the recently established auction house, Patrick van der Vorst.
"We are excited to be able to offer such an impressive variety of items and with its variety of value offerings; this sale affords an excellent opportunity for a new collector as well as the seasoned connoisseur."
