Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne's doodle has sold for ?20,000 ($31,349) as part of a February 5 charity auction organised by the Times newspaper.
The piece shows the Budget Box that Osborne holds up every year when the UK's annual budget plans are announced. The price achieved was reportedly more than three times its estimated value.
Selling as top lot, the sketch beat other celebrity doodles from the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and artist Anthony Gormley.
Conservative party members are proving popular at auction, with David Cameron's Fiat 500 showing a 51% increase on estimate in November 2012.
