An online charity auction has seen a signed pair of Kanye West's Nike Air Yeezy 2 sneakers sell for $98,900, with profits going to benefit the victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The shoes are some of the most sought after by collectors, with this unique pair destined to cause excitement from the start. Another pair was reportedly sold for $80,000 on eBay prior to their 2012 release.
In total, the auction raised $140,078 when it closed yesterday (February 4), with items from Kate Moss, Anne Hathaway and the Prince of Monaco also selling well.
