Gooding & Company consolidated its status as the official auction house of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, last week, with no less than six new World Record prices in its saleroom.
Among the sale's numerous highlights were three $6m-plus collector cars, with an incredible 13 lots bringing more than $1m each.
The latter included the 1951 Ferrari 340 America Spider, sold for $2,530,000.

In total Gooding & Company's sale grossed more than $64.59m, its highest-ever recorded sale total in Pebble Beach history, with 106 lots sold.
Sold for $6m each were the 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider and the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB Berlinetta SEFAC Hot Rod (the latter bringing $6,105,000).

Other World Records included the 1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza for $6,710,000 - in fact the largest price ever for an Alfa Romeo at auction.
Elsewhere among the blockbuster World Record breakers were the 1956 Maserati 200SI, a record for a 200SI at auction for $2,640,000, and the 1937 Jaguar SS100 which, at $1,045,000, is an auction record for an SS100.
