A Saudi Arabian “2” number plate realised $2.7m in an auction hosted in Abu Dhabi over the weekend.
The proceeds from the sale benefitted the Abu Dhabi Police Force (the only law enforcement operation in the world with a $3.4m Lykan Hypersport in its motor pool).

The buyer, 23-year-old Ahmed Al Marzuoqi, told the Khaleej Times: "I'm proud of my country and I want that money to go to charity.
“This is a year of giving, and the police will use the money from the sale of number plates to support the poor and needy people.
As you might have guessed, “2” is not the most valuable number plate in Saudi Arabia.
In 2008, a buyer paid around $9.2m for number “1”.
