A while ago, we highlighted the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow as a great classic car investment: a good quality model can be found on the market for around £11,000-14,000.
But if you're looking to spend a bit more on a Rolls-Royce, then you'll have a chance at Machoir's Expertise Auction of vintage and classic vehicles on September 26.
Whereas the Sliver Shadow, which discontinued production in 1980, was intended as a 'Rolls Royce for the masses', the 1991 Corniche III for sale at Machoir is far more exclusive - considered by many to be the "mythic model" of the brand.
Based on the same type of cabriolet, the Corniche III appeared in 1989 and owes its name to the seaside roads of Cote d'Azur or Los Angeles.

Only 452 examples of the car were ever made. Its features include a sophisticated suspension system, air bags, and particularly strong injection.
According to Machoir's lot notes, the model for sale has a low mileage with 30,000 miles covered. Other features include a V8 engine, automatic transmission, black paintwork and a black interior.
Translated from French, the seller comments that this "Shadow" Corniche III "truly represents Rolls Royce, unlike today's sanitised models."
The Shadow Corniche III will appear for sale estimated at €70,000-90,000. Watch this space for more news on the sale, which will be held in Montastruc-la-Conseillère, France.
