Memorabilia from the Isle of Man TT motorcycle races is up for bids on eBay, in an attempt to raise funds for the event by the Manx government.

The humpback bridge is one of the most famous parts of the race

The sale includes roads signs and fuel fillers used up until the 1980s, with one sign from the famous Ballaugh Bridge already bringing £1,089 ($1.648).

"Every one of these name boards is steeped in TT history and every one can tell a story of dramatic action, triumph, heartbreak, skill and bravery," commented a government official.  

Following this year's event, fans will be able to purchase further items of memorabilia, which are all accompanied by certificates of authenticity.
