A rare 1964 Ford Thunderbolt 2-door sedan is one of the leading lights at Dana Mecum's Original Spring Classic Auction sale next month.
Designed for drag racing, the four-speed Thunderbolt Fairlane is number 57 in a series of 100 built and has classic car collectors and investors salivating.
The car has recently been restored to its 1974 colour scheme with the assistance of the original designer of the vehicle's vibrant paintwork.
It was featured in Hemming's Muscle Machine magazine in 2008, and in 2010 was chosen by Mattel for its Hot Wheels Dragstrip Demon series.
