Classic cars invade Fort Lauderdale

Car collectors have barely had time to recover from RM's astounding Amelia Island sale, last weekend, and the auction house has already lined up its next event.

Amelia Island's highlights included the $1.5m 1930 Duesenberg Model J Murphy Sport Berline and the amazing 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4.

Hopes are therefore very high for RM's Collector Cars of Fort Lauderdale auction, scheduled to take place from March 26-28.

The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Fastback

Classic examples of the Ford Mustang will take pride of place at the sale - among them this historic 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Fastback.

This 1970 Boss 302 Mustang is a great link to the famed SCCA Trans Am road-racing series.

It boasts a number of classic features, including a "Shaker" hood, a Hurst-shifted four-speed transmission, front and rear spoilers, Magnum 500 wheels, and an old-school AM radio.

This classic automobile will auction estimated at $50,000-65,000

Sold complete with a Marti Report, this eye-catching yellow beauty will roll onto the auction block with an estimate of $50,000-65,000.
