Spring, a previously unpublished picture by 16th century Flemish painter Peter Brueghel the Younger, is to auction at Sotheby's New York on June 6.

Since Peter Brueghel the Younger's work seldom comes to market, a great deal of interest is anticipated.
Featuring Flemish farmers preparing a communal garden for sowing, the work, which dates from the late 1500s, is expected to make $700,000-900,000.
Comparable works by Peter Brueghel the Younger have previously brought seven-figure sums. In July 2001, a signed composition featuring a bustling village scene sold for £3.9m ($5.9m) at Sotheby's.
