A modernist print entitled The Tube Station, completed by British artist Cyril Edward Power (1972-1951) in 1932, is to auction at Bonhams London on April 16. The linocut featuring Bank Underground station carries a £50,000-70,000 ($76,000-110,000) valuation.

In January London Underground celebrated 150 years since the first underground journey took place between Paddington and Farringdon on the Metropolitan Railway. With a range of activities and events planned throughout 2013, the history of the Tube remains a contemporary concern.
Tube map designer Harry Beck had his historic design officially commemorated on the 80th anniversary of its initial public appearance, with last week's erection of an English Heritage blue plaque.
If Bonhams is able to successfully capitalise on the zeitgeist, Cyril Power's The Tube Station print could prove very popular among collectors and investors come the 16th.
