Bonhams has released its line-up of sales for this year’s Asian Art Week in New York.
The auctions will take place on March 13-15 and feature work from across the continent’s rich history.
The week kicks off with an auction of antique snuff bottles on March 13, which will include picks from noted collector Dr Philip S Brachman.
The Portraits of the Masters sale on March 14 will feature 108 Buddhist statues by Tibetan artisans, including a 14th century alloy figure of Drikungpa Jigten Sumgon Rinchenpel.

It’s expected to sell for around $300,000-500,000.
Another highlight will be a 15th century Islamic manuscript, which is to headline an Indian, Himalayan, and Southeast Asian Art sale on March 13 with a valuation of $60,000-80,000.
Edward Wilkinson, Bonhams’ executive director in Asia and global head of Indian, Himalayan, and southeast Asian art, explained: “Prized Islamic manuscripts are rarely offered within the US art market, so this important royal page from the Diwan of a Timurid prince, is a rare treat for domestic collectors and institutions.
“It joins a lineup across two sales that excels in caliber, particularly among Indian painting and Himalayan sculpture, and we expect a lot of excitement in response from the international collecting community.”
The week will close with separate sales of porcelain from China, Korea and Japan on March 15.
