A silver model of the Aswan Dam made for King Farouk I of Egypt was the headline lot of Heritage Auctions' Gentleman Collector Auction in Dallas.
It realised $100,000 in the September 13 sale.

Silversmith Oliver Ramsden of London made the piece, which measures 20" by 10". It shows a side by side comparison of the dam's construction between 1902 and 1939.
An inscription in Arabic reads: "In memory of the attendance of his Majesty King Farouk I to lay the final stone in the second heightening of the Aswan Dam".
