Description
Zanzibar 1896 (15 Nov) '2½' (type 6) on 1½a sepia, SG29kvar, variety Roman 'I' in '½', and additionally showing surcharge double, one albino (offset on reverse). Very fine example with original gum. An excessively rare combination of varieties.
Accompanied by a Royal Philatelic Society certificate of Authenticity (1933) as former SG 139. Ex Vialou and SG Auction 22/5/68, lot 333.
