South Africa Orange Free State 1896 'Halve/Penny.' on 3d ultramarine, type 10 surcharge, complete folded sheet of 240 (four panes, each 6x10), showing two impressions of the 12x10 setting, with error 'Peuny.' at R3/1 of the left panes and variety 'No stop' at R10/6 of the right panes, SG77/9var.
A fine unmounted mint complete sheet with full original gum. Inevitable slight faults (two stamps with surface damage, creases and separation, especially in the lower panes), still good condition for such an item, with all gutters still intact.
A remarkable survival.
