A superb example of the 1884 10 shillings ultramarine on white paper, lettered 'EA', in exceptional unused with original gum condition.
The colour is particularly vibrant and fresh, with well-centred margins and crisp impression.
These high-denomination stamps were issued primarily for large parcel and telegraphic use, and many surviving examples are found heavily used or with faults. Unused examples in such pristine condition are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain, especially with full original gum.
