A very fine used, lightly cancelled example of this very scarce printing plate lettered 'LB'. The unobtrusive cancellation allows the plate number to be clearly seen, which is a rare feature in itself.
A real rarity in such fine condition from the very last printing plate used for the penny red. Plate 225 is the rarest printing plate of the penny red other than the famous Plate 77.
