Great Britain 1878 ½d die proof for lighter and more fugitive colours, SGDP67. A very fine imperforate example cut to stamp size with void corner letters printed in purple on white wove paper, watermarked "small star", overprinted "SPECIMEN" type 10. There is the usual pin hole from being pinned in the printers/post office record book. A very rare and important specialised piece from this distinctive stamp issue. GB Specialised Catalogue No: DP67.
