Great Britain 1867 1d black Paris Exhibtion Proof Plate 103, SGDP38.
A superb unused imperforate corner marginal plate pair printed in black on soft white card lettered 'TA-TB' with plate number and sheet marginal inscription "PRICE 1d Per Label. 1/- Per Row of".
These penny blacks were specifically printed for the second world stamp exhibition held in Paris in 1867 between 1 April to 3 November. Blocks of 20 were cut from the sheets for display.
An exceptional and unique exhibtion piece.
