A very fine used example sent from London to Killarney neatly cancelled by a red Maltese Cross with a "Sth. Audley St" receiving house handstamp.
Backstamped by a London dispatch circular date stamp for 'MY.9.1840.' a Dublin transit datestamp for the first Sunday MY.10.1840. and a Killarney arrival circular date stamp for the following day.
A very scarce and attractive "May date" Mulaready cover.
Provenance: Ex "Mayflower" Grand Prix Collection.
Accompanied with a 2010 British Philatelic Association (BPA) Certificate of Authenticity.
