Very fine used four margin example lettered RB ("P converted to R" by handcutting) tied to a clean entire from Rothesay to Buckie by a crisp black MC. Backstamped with a light indisctinct Rothesay datestamp and a Buckie receiving datestamp for JN.26.1841. A lovely example of this difficult plate on cover further enanced by being written on a spectacular piece of headed notepaper, depicting a particularly fine rendering of Rothesay town and harbour. Most unusual and attractive.
